Harvest Fest returning to Springfield this fall

Fall is right around the corner, bringing colder air, changing leaves — and Harvest Fest.

Every year, for five fall weekends, the Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park hosts Harvest Fest. Beginning on Sept. 28, the event will be open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It will run each weekend through Oct. 27.

All are welcome to come and participate in various activities, such as a corn maze, hay rides, and a pumpkin patch. All proceeds from the event go to the Park Board, which enables Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park and other local parks the ability to host events such as these throughout the year.

The event features a haunted trail for visitors to explore. Every Friday and Saturday evening, the trail event will begin at 6:30 p.m. until closing.

If you’re wanting to skip the ghosts and goblins, Saturdays and Sundays offer carnival games, bounce-house inflatables for the kids, and the famous Cow Train.
