Taking U2’s new album off your iPhone

On Sept. 9, Apple unveiled its new iPhone.

To celebrate, the company invited U2 to perform a song from their new album, “Songs of Innocence.” After the performance, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the band’s new album was available for free on everyone’s iPhone.

But not everyone was happy with music magically appearing.

Here are the steps if you want to delete the album:

IMG_0077When you go to the album in your phone you will see a bunch of cloud icons next to each song. This is because the album isn’t actually on your phone; it is stored in Apple’s cloud. If you want the album on your phone, simply click on the cloud icon, and the song will be downloaded onto your device. Otherwise, follow these steps.

From your home screen locate the settings icon. Once you find it open the app.

Simply click on the icon, and it will turn off. Now when you return to your music, you will notice that the album is no longer there.
