Grab your umbrella and carpet bag — everyone’s favorite nanny is coming to Springfield.

Springfield Little Theatre will be opening its season with Disney’s “Mary Poppins.” The show will be presented at the historic Landers Theater, 311 E. Walnut, in downtown Springfield from Sept. 12 through Oct. 5.

The cast features more than 20 local Springfield actors from a variety of ages, including Kim Crosby, original star of Broadway’s “Into the Woods” as Mary Poppins.

Tickets are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $15 for children under 14. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the box office inside the Landers Theatre, or by calling (417) 869-1334 from 11 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or through its website .

There is also a student rush half an hour before each performance, when tickets can be purchased for $10 with a valid student ID.

Evening performances take place on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and start at 7:30 p.m. Matinees happen on Saturdays and Sundays and start at 2:30 p.m.
